CJC-1295 is a peptide which contains the amino acid sequence of hexarelin. It is an inhibitor of the activator of adenylyl cyclase, and it has been shown to activate cAMP-dependent protein kinase A (PKA) in vitro. CJC-1295 has also been shown to act as a ligand for the growth hormone receptor, but its binding affinity is lower than that of hexarelin.
